Educators contribute to the profession.
I am a firm believer in contributing to the education profession in as many ways as possible. During my time as a teacher candidate, I have had the pleasure of sharing my coaching expertise with the Prince George Secondary School (PGSS) Girl’s Soccer Team. Soccer is one of my passions, and I love that I am able to pass my knowledge onto other students. I have had the opportunity to run practices for the team, coach in game situations, and travel to tournaments with the teams.
I was provided with a substitute teaching position at Sacred Heart Elementary School after completing my practicum here. During my time substituting, I was honoured to volunteer my time towards the evening school-wide play held every two years. I volunteered alongside other teachers to help organize and coordinate the play, which was an amazing learning opportunity!
